Thank you for taking the time to complete the TerraSassa application.
Before moving forward, it’s important to understand how placement works within my program.
At TerraSassa, puppies are not placed on a first come, first served basis.
Submitting an application does not place you in line for a puppy, secure a position on a list, or guarantee availability. Every placement is based on fit, not timing.
I evaluate potential homes carefully. This includes lifestyle, household environment, other animals, presence of young children, prior dog experience, long-term goals, and the overall thoughtfulness of communication. I am not looking for the fastest placement—I am looking for the right placement.
For that reason, not all applicants move forward in the process.
If I feel that your home may be a good fit for a future TerraSassa puppy, I will continue the conversation. If not, you may receive a brief response indicating that my program is not the right match or that I am not accepting additional homes at this time.
This is not a volume-based program. I do not produce puppies for general availability, and I do not match puppies based on urgency, convenience, or request order.
No Guaranteed Availability
Most TerraSassa puppies are spoken for well in advance, and even then, nothing is promised until the puppies are born and evaluated.
Because I breed selectively and raise each litter in a home environment with significant time devoted to development and socialization, only a limited number of litters are produced each year.
Puppy Placement Philosophy
Puppies are not selected based on color alone.
Each puppy is evaluated as it develops for temperament, structure, movement, and overall suitability. Because of how much puppies change in the early weeks, final placement decisions are typically made closer to the time they are ready to go home.
My role is to match each puppy to the home where it is most likely to thrive—not to allow buyers to simply choose based on preference.
Breeding Program Priorities
All TerraSassa breedings are planned first for the advancement of my own program.
Final decisions regarding which puppies will be retained are not made until puppies have been evaluated as they mature. This typically occurs around eight weeks of age.
Only after those decisions are made are remaining puppies considered for placement in approved homes.
Pricing and Reservation Policy
The price quoted in your initial email will be honored provided you accept the first puppy offered to you that aligns with the preferences you provided.
If you choose to postpone to a later litter for any reason, pricing will reflect the current rates at that time.
Once you are offered a puppy and choose to move forward, a $500 nonrefundable holding fee is required within 3 days to secure that placement.
The remaining balance is due in cash at pickup or by cashier’s check or wire transfer 10 days prior to your puppy going home.
Holding Fee Policy
If you commit to a puppy and later withdraw, all payments made to date are nonrefundable. However, they may be applied as a credit toward a future TerraSassa puppy at my discretion.
Puppies Remaining Beyond Go-Home Date
Final payment must be completed by 12 weeks and 4 days of age unless prior arrangements have been made.
Moving Forward
If you do not hear from me right away, it simply means I am not currently moving forward with additional placements, or I am waiting for the right timing and litter.
If I believe there is a potential fit, I will reach out.
