Professional canine reproductive and whelping services for responsible and preservation breeders throughout Florida.
Professional Whelping & Neonatal Care Services
I provide professional whelping and neonatal care services for responsible breeders who may not have the time or availability to manage the constant monitoring required during pregnancy, whelping, and the early weeks of a litter’s life.
I also offer in-house progesterone testing with results available in approximately 35 minutes, allowing breeders to accurately determine the best breeding window.
Whelping puppies requires 24-hour observation and hands-on care, particularly during the neonatal period when both the dam and puppies may require immediate attention.
With over 40 years of experience whelping dogs, along with my professional background as a respiratory therapist with extensive neonatal experience, I provide knowledgeable monitoring and care to help give each litter the best possible start.
I work with responsible and preservation breeders who are committed to proper health testing and ethical breeding practices.
Because neonatal care requires constant attention, I provide care for only one litter at a time, and all services must be scheduled in advance according to availability.
Breeder Requirements
I work with responsible and preservation breeders who are committed to maintaining the health, structure, and integrity of their breed.
• All appropriate breed-specific health testing must be completed prior to breeding
• The bitch must be in good health and appropriate breeding condition
• Breeding plans should be discussed in advance whenever possible
• Owners remain responsible for all veterinary decisions and veterinary expenses
• Breeders must remain available for communication during the whelping period
Program Availability
Because proper neonatal care requires constant monitoring, I provide care for only one litter at a time. This ensures that the dam and her puppies receive the full attention and supervision required during the whelping and neonatal period.
All services must be scheduled in advance according to availability. Breeders are encouraged to contact me early in their breeding plans so arrangements can be made prior to the expected whelping date.
Early planning helps ensure that appropriate time is reserved for the dam and her litter.
Reproductive Services
Progesterone Testing (Breeding & Pre-Whelp)
Results in approximately 35 minutes – $60 per test
Progesterone testing is essential for determining the optimal breeding window and maximizing the chances of successful conception. Many veterinary clinics must send samples to outside laboratories, which can delay results by 12–24 hours. In-house testing allows breeders to receive results quickly and avoid missing the most fertile breeding period.
Progesterone testing can also be used late in pregnancy to help determine when whelping is approaching. As progesterone levels drop before labor begins, this testing can help breeders prepare for delivery or coordinate veterinary care if needed.
Semen Analysis
$50
Semen analysis is used to evaluate sperm motility and overall semen quality prior to breeding. This helps determine whether the stud dog is producing an adequate sample for successful breeding.
Artificial Insemination
$125
I have over 22 years of experience performing artificial insemination using fresh or chilled semen. Proper insemination technique and accurate breeding timing help maximize the chances of successful conception.
Pregnancy Confirmation (Ultrasound)
$60
Ultrasound can be used to confirm pregnancy beginning at approximately 30–35 days after breeding. This allows breeders to determine whether a breeding was successful and begin preparing for the upcoming litter.
While ultrasound can confirm pregnancy and visualize developing puppies, it does not provide an accurate puppy count. Radiographs later in pregnancy are typically used to determine litter size.
I am currently upgrading my ultrasound equipment and expect to begin offering this service soon.

• Experience with tube feeding and neonatal puppy support
• One litter at a time to ensure constant monitoring

24-Hour After-Whelp Assistance
Breeders occasionally encounter situations after a litter is born when their veterinarian is unavailable or their office is closed. In these situations it can be difficult to know whether a problem requires immediate veterinary care or if it can be managed safely at home.
I offer 24-hour phone assistance to breeders who may need guidance during the first critical days after whelping. I may be able to help answer questions, provide guidance on common neonatal issues, or help determine whether veterinary care should be sought immediately.
This service is intended to help breeders navigate unexpected situations and support the health and safety of both the dam and her puppies.
Phone consultation fee may apply depending on the situation.

Service Policies
Breeding, pregnancy, and whelping always involve some level of risk for both the dam and her puppies. While every effort is made to provide careful monitoring and experienced care, no guarantees can be made regarding conception, litter size, or puppy survival.
The breeder remains the legal owner of the dam and litter at all times and is responsible for all decisions regarding veterinary care.
All veterinary expenses, medications, and emergency care are the responsibility of the breeder.
Emergency veterinary care will be sought if necessary to protect the health of the dam and puppies. The breeder will be contacted whenever possible before decisions are made.
Additional details regarding responsibilities and services will be outlined in a formal service agreement prior to scheduling whelping services.
